The Fort Erie Arts Council and two of our artists, Donna MacLeod and Lori Burke participated in International Art and Found Day, which is in it's 6th year.
It's a day when artists all over the world leave a piece of art in their community to spread a little happiness. They chose one or more of their artworks big or small – it could be a painting, photograph, drawing, handmade item, music album etc.
The artist leaves a note on the inside with a little information about the piece and themselves. They then package it up safely with a note taped to the outside with the hashtag #ArtandFoundDay. The artist then drops it off somewhere in their community on March 12th, 2021. They share their participation on social media with the hashtag #ArtandFoundDay and the tag @ArtandFoundDay
It was a great success!
The final tally of participants: 478 artists in 33 countries.
